UNILOY 430 is a medium-chromium (17%) non-hardening, ferritic stainless steel. Of the AISI 400 series stainless steels, Uniloy 430 most nearly resembles the 18% chromium-8% nickel stainless steels in fabrication and service. It has excellent resistance to corrosion and good resistance to elevated-temperature scaling. Its many uses include architectural trim, nitric acid storage tanks and kitchen appliances. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-408. Producer or source: Cyclops.

UNILOY 434 is a medium-chromium (17%), non-hardening, ferritic stainless steel containing an addition of molybdenum (nominally 1%). The molybdenum addition creates a grade with increased resistance to corrosion. This steel (when compared with the molybdenum-free grade, AISI Type 430 or Uniloy 430) shows improved resistance to pitting attack from various de-icing chemicals. In addition, the color of Uniloy 434, when buffed, closely resembles that of bright chromium plate. Hence a popular application for Uniloy 434 is automotive trim. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-422. Producer or source: Cyclops Cytemp.

UNILOY 405 is a non-hardening modification of the 12% chromium stainless steel, AISI Type 410. A small addition of aluminum (about 0.20%) restricts the formation of austenite at high temperature so that hardening does not occur upon quenching. This characteristic makes Uniloy 405 especially suited for welding; the welds are ductile and there is no need for controlled cooling rates. Applications of Uniloy 405 include all types of welded structures that cannot be annealed after welding. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-402. Producer or source: Cyclops.
