UMCo-50 is a cobalt-chromium-iron heat-resistant alloy with good resistance to thermal shock, oxidatoin, and corrosion by hot gases, slags and molten copper. These characteristics make it highly suitable for use in the metallurgical and glass industries. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Co-41. Producer or source: United States Pipe and Foundry Company. Originally published January 1965, revised March 1975.

UMCo-51: High Temperature Alloy
Available to Purchase
Alloy Digest (1967) 16 (3): Co-51.
Published: 01 March 1967
...: UMCo-51 is a modification of UMCo-50 cobalt- base alloy for industrial applications which involve high mechanical stresses at elevated temperatures. It has higher stress-rupture strength than UMCo-50 and still maintains the alloy s corrosion, oxidation and thermal shock resistance, along with its ease...

for article titled, <span class="search-highlight">UMCo</span>-51: High Temperature Alloy
UMCo-51 is a cobalt-base alloy having high stress-rupture strength. It is recommended for high temperature applications where the mechanical stresses are high, and where resistance to abrasion, thermal shock and oxidation are required. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Co-51. Producer or source: Acierie & Fonderie De Haute Sambre.
