Remanit 4301 is a general-purpose austenitic stainless steel. It has more chromium and nickel that Type 302, but less carbon in order to reduce chromium carbide precipitation. This grade constitutes slightly more than 25% of all stainless production. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: SS-642. Producer or source: Thyssen Stahl AG.

... cold-work hardening demand higher working forces. Springback resilience is. for example. greater than with Remanit 4301. Tempering colors or scale from heat treatment or welding proc- esses reduce corrosion resistance and should therefore be re- moved chemically (e.g.. by pickling baths or pastes...

Remainit 4318, similar to type 301LN, is in the family of lowest-alloyed austenitic stainless steels. This type has the highest rate of work hardening. Typical applications include the transportation industry and conveyor belts for food processing. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: SS-651. Producer or source: Thyssen Stahl AG.

... Characteristics: It is a lower carbon modification of Remanit 4301 (type 304).It has become one of the most widely used austenitic chromium- nickel stainless steels. It is nonmagnetic in the annealed condi- tion. but becomes slightly magnetic when cold worked This steel has excellent corrosion resistance...

Remanit 4306 is a low-carbon chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel that is superior in corrosion resistance to type 302 (see Alloy Digest SS-99, revised September 1998). Due to its low carbon content, Remanit 4306 is intergranular corrosion resistant under continuous operating conditions up to 350 C (652 F). This grade is particular suitable for high degrees of cold working and for sequential drawing. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: SS-679. Producer or source: Thyssen Stahl AG.
