Nikrothal 20 is an austenitic nickel-chromium alloy (NiCr alloy) for use at temperatures up to 1050 C (1920 F). The alloy is characterized by high resistivity and moderate oxidation resistance. It has good ductility after use and excellent weldability. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as forming. Filing Code: SS-1044. Producer or source: Kanthal AB.

NIKROTHAL TE is a member of the Nikrothal family of alloys, which are one of two main types of electric-resistance alloys. Nickel-chromium (80Ni-20Cr, for example), developed around the turn of the century, was used as heating-element material in industrial furnaces and electric household appliances. Nikrothal alloys offer advantages in heating-element applications requiring very good mechanical properties in the hot state. This alloy is an attractive alternative to Nikrothal Alloys 40, 60, 70, and 80 (see Alloy Digest Ni-529, September 1997). This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on forming. Filing Code: Ni-710. Producer or source: Sandvik Heating Technology.

NIKROTHAL 8 is a nickel-chromium electrical-resistance alloy for use in appliances and industrial furnaces. Its maximum recommended element temperature in continuous use is 1200 C (2190 F). Nikrothal 8 is non-magnetic, highly resistant to corrosion, and has a lower temperature coefficient of electrical resistance than other alloys for heating elements. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-268. Producer or source: The Kanthal Corporation.
