Nirosta 4438 is a molybdenum, 18-14 type austenitic stainless steel with higher molybdenum than most of the austenitic family of alloys. Due to its low carbon content, it is intergranular corrosion resistant under operating conditions up to 350 deg C (752 deg F). This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-879. Producer or source: ThyssenKrupp Nirosta GmbH.
