NI-HARD is a white cast iron alloyed with nickel and chromium to give high hardness and outstanding resistance to abrasion. The structure consists of hard carbide matrix rendered martensitic by the nickel content. The wearing faces of heavy castings may be chilled, thus giving a white iron face, backed by grey cast iron where the metal has cooled more slowly. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. ABEX HC-250 comprises a family of heat-treatable, high-chromium iron casting alloys specially developed to offer superior abrasion resistance where other materials have failed. The microstructure of HC-250 consists of an iron and chromium-rich mixture of martensite and austenite containing very hard, discrete, needle-like particles of chromium carbide. This unique combination of constituents gives HC-250 its outstanding abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, good rupture life and oxidation resistance at high temperature. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance, corrosion and wear resistance as well as casting, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: CI-45. ABEX PACE is a modified high-chromium iron alloy. Its composition is balanced to achieve a unique microstructure. PACE (Protection Against Corrosion/Erosion) was developed to replace stainless steels and abrasion-resistant alloys in applications where abrasive and corrosive environments exist simultaneously. Its predecessor, ABEX SPA ALLOY (Alloy Digest CI-47, January 1979), achieved remarkable results in a limited acid pH range, but the PACE alloy extends these properties to all environments, and incorporates enhanced machinability. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as joining. Filing Code: CI-52. Producer or source: Abex Corporation, Engineered Products Division.
