MUELLER Alloy 3450 (formerly MBCo. Alloy 212) is a high-lead brass alloy noted for its excellent thread-rolling and knurling properties. Its machinability approaches that of free-cutting brass. It is used for screw-machine applications where both good cutting and cold-forming characteristics are desired. Typical applications are valve stems, gears and flare fittings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-375. Producer or source: Mueller Brass Company.
