This alloy improves upon the excellent high-temperature corrosion resistance of INCONEL alloy 690 (see Alloy Digest Ni-266, March 1981) through an addition of aluminum. Inconel Alloy 693 is typically 61% Ni, 29% Cr, 3.3% Al, and 0.7% Nb, with the balance being principally iron. By virtue of its contents of chromium and aluminum, alloy 693 offers particularly good resistance to oxidation, carburization, sulfidation, and special resistance to metal dusting. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming and heat treating. Filing Code: Ni-617. Producer or source: Special Metals Corporation.
