INDALLOY 217-440 is a bismuth-base alloy that can be melted easily. It is a non-eutectic alloy that melts through a temperature range of 217-440 F. Its low melting temperature and controlled-shrinkage characteristics make it a valuable tool of industry for such applications as anchoring non-moving parts in machinery, filling blow holes in castings, split jaw chucks and anchoring hold-down bolts in concrete floors.
