Alloy Digest (2003) 52 (11): Ni-617.
Published: 01 November 2003
... This alloy improves upon the excellent high-temperature corrosion resistance of INCONEL alloy 690 (see Alloy Digest Ni-266, March 1981) through an addition of aluminum. Inconel Alloy 693 is typically 61% Ni, 29% Cr, 3.3% Al, and 0.7% Nb, with the balance being principally iron. By virtue of its...

By virtue of its contents of chromium and aluminum, alloy 693 offers particularly good resistance to oxidation, carburization, sulfidation, and special resistance to metal dusting. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming and heat treating. Filing Code: Ni-617. Producer or source: Special Metals Corporation.

Alloy Digest (1995) 44 (1): Ni-476.
Published: 01 January 1995
... Resistance: Excellent up to 22OO F (1205OC) for most applications. Even higher where service life is short. Based on tests of brazed HasteIIoy X exposed in still air for 500 hours. Joint Corrosion Resistance: Brazed austenitic stainless steel and Inconel proven satisfactory in NaK and high temperature water...

NICROBRAZ 170 is an extra high strength at high temperature braze filler metal. It is good for brazing nickel-base materials containing cobalt, tungsten, and molybdenum. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and hardness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as joining. Filing Code: Ni-476. Producer or source: Wall Colmonoy Corporation.

... and elevated temperature. Its general corrosion resistance is equivalent to that of INCONEL* alloy 600. Colmonoy No. 72 has good resistance to chemical corrosion, scaling at high temperatures and fretting corrosion at high temperatures. Likewise, its general corrosion resistance is equivalent to INCONEL alloy...

COLMONOY No. 70 and No. 72 contain high tungsten which hardens the matrix and provides superior hard-facing materials. No. 70 hasexcellent resistance to fretting corrosion. No. 72 is harder than No. 70 and provides better resistance to low-stress abrasion and is well suited to resist scouring actions. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and powder metal forms. Filing Code: Ni-210. Producer or source: Wall Colmonoy Corporation.
