Incoloy alloy 25-6Mo is superaustenitic, contains 6% Mo, and offers excellent corrosion resistance to neutral and acidic environments containing chlorides or other halides such as are found in air pollution control and flue gas desulfurization systems. The alloy is especially suited for service in high chloride environments such as brackish water, seawater, caustic chloride, and pulp mill bleach systems. This alloy is similar to Inco Alloy 25-6Mo (See Alloy Digest Ni-401, April 1992) and supersedes it. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-962. Producer or source: Special Metals Corporation.

... ASM International® 1996 Heat Treatment: INCO alloy 25-6MO is not hardenable by heat treatment. For optimum ductility, anneal at 2150°F (1175 C). Recrystallization can be achieved at lower temperature. Care must be taken toavoid catastrophic oxidation particu- larly when heating above 17OO F (925°C...

INCO Alloy 25-6 MO is a highly alloyed austenitic nickel/iron alloy that is especially resistant to non-oxidizing acids such as sulfuric and phosphoric. It is also well suited to handle high-chloride environments and to combat microbially influenced corrosion. (See updated alloy Incoloy Alloy 25-6Mo, Alloy Digest SS-962, May 2006.) This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-401. Producer or source: Inco Alloys International Inc..

Incoloy alloy 27-7MO is an advanced superaustenitic stainless steel with a composition 27Ni-22Cr-7.2Mo-0.34N. In many environments this alloy performs up to the level of more highly alloyed and expensive materials such as Inconel alloy 625, 622, and C-276. This datasheet provides information on composition, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion and wear resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-871. Producer or source: Special Metals Corporation.

Incoloy alloy 25-6HN is a 6% Mo superaustenitic stainless steel. It offers an excellent combination of strength, ductility, and resistance to corrosion by a variety of media at an economical price. It is readily formed and welded. The properties of the alloy are enhanced by its content of nitrogen. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-1056. Producer or source: Special Metals Corporation.
