HAYNES Alloy No. 273 is a nickel-base, hard-facing alloy developed to provide extra life for hot-working equipment such as hot-forging dies, hot-shear blades and hot-extrusion dies. It is deposited by using a composite electrode with nickel-base core and the balance of the alloying elements in the flux coating. Deposits retain their hardness up to 1200 F. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-208. Producer or source: Cabot Corporation.
