GUTERL M-1 is a highly-molybdenum, low-tungsten type of high-speed tool steel. It is a general-purpose high-speed steel with an excellent combination of cutting ability, finishing characteristics and toughness. Guterl M-1 has good cutting ability for all operations except for heavy-duty, continuous cutting applications that require the ultimate in red hardness. Its toughness is as great as that of other high-speed steels. Its typical uses include circular saws, broaches, gear cutters, twist drills and taps. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: TS-391. Producer or source: Guterl Special Steel Corporation.

GUTERL M-7 is a molybdenum type of high-speed steel. It is somewhat similar to AISI Type M1 tool steel but with higher percentages of carbon and vanadium to provide an improvement over M1 in cutting characteristics without a significant loss in toughness. It is used widely for cutting-tool applications that require improved resistance to abrasion. Its many uses include reamers, twist drills, taps, lathe tools, end mills and punches. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: TS-370. Producer or source: Guterl Special Steel Corporation.

GUTERL D-7 is a high-carbon, high-chromium, high-vanadium tool and die steel. It is air hardening and therefore offers an extremely high degree of dimensional stability in heat treatment. In the hardened condition it has extremely high resistance to abrasion and wear. Its many applications include blanking and cold-drawing dies, punches, burnishing tools, slitter knives and gages. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and hardness. It also includes information on heat treating and machining. Filing Code: TS-361. Producer or source: Guterl Special Steel Corporation.
