Finkl DC is a single-vacuum melted AISI H13 type material made by the vacuum arc degassing (VAD) process. The vanadium content of 1% in addition to a high chromium (Cr 5%) and molybdenum (Mo 1.4%) promotes hot strength and wear resistance. This datasheet provides information on composition. It also includes information on heat treating. Filing Code: TS-614. Producer or source: A. Finkl & Sons Company.

Finkl DCF is a prehardened, single-melt modified H13. The alloy is resulfurized for ease of machining in the hardened condition. This eliminates the necessity of costly and time-consuming vacuum heat treating that normally has to be scheduled after machining. The thermal fatigue resistance is less than that of double-melted DC-Xtra, but DCF is ready for service as machined. It is supplied prehardened at a hardness of approximately 45 HRC. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as forming and heat treating. Filing Code: TS-621. Producer or source: A. Finkl & Sons Company.
