for article titled, ELEKTRON Z5Z: Heavy-Duty Magnesium Casting Alloy
ELECTRON Z5Z is a heavy duty magnesium alloy for structural purposes at normal temperatures. It is characterized by high yield strength with good elongation, high fatigue strength with very low notch sensilivity, and uniform strength in varying sections. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Mg-5. Producer or source: Aluminum Laboratories Ltd. Originally published April 1953, revised June 1959.
