DIEVAR is a premium Cr-Mo-V alloyed hot work tool steel developed by Uddeholm. Development, production, and refining techniques yield a die steel with resistance to heat checking, gross cracking, hot wear, and plastic deformation. The properties profile for DIEVAR makes it a choice for die casting, forging, and extrusion. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: TS-596. Producer or source: Böhler Uddeholm N.A.
