Copper Alloy No. C44300 is a copper-zinc-tin alloy inhibited by arsenic; it is commonly known as inhibited admiralty metal or admiralty brass. It has a good combination of strength and ductility and good resistance to general corrosion. The small addition of arsenic (nominally 0.06%) is made to minimize the alloy's susceptibility to dezincification and stress corrosion. It is used widely for condenser, evaporator and heat-exchanger tubes and associated applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-526. Producer or source: Copper and copper alloy mills.

ANACONDA Alloy 443 is a brass alloy commonly known as ARSENICAL ADMIRALTY 443 because the addition of nominally 0.04% arsenic greatly inhibits its corrosion by dezincification. It stands up extremely well against corrosion by fresh, brackish or salt waters ranging from slightly acid to slightly alkaline. It also prossesses good resistance to corrosion by waters containing sulfides. It has moderate strength and good ductility. For a long time, this alloy has been considered a standard for condenser and heat-exchanger tubes. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-422. Producer or source: Anaconda American Brass Company.

AMBRALOY 687 is a copper-zinc-aluminum-arsenic alloy. It is effectively inhibited against dezincification by the small but strictly regulated addition of arsenic (nominally 0.04%). It is superior to Admiralty Metal (Copper Alloys No. C44300, C44400 and C44500) where water is contaminated by sewage, where velocities are higher than normal, and where impingement is more severe than normal. Typical uses are condenser and heat-exchanger tubes, distiller tubes and ferrules. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-459. Producer or source: ARCO Metals Company, American Brass. MUELLER Alloy 4430 is a copper-zinc-tin alloy. It contains a small addition (nominally 0.06%) of arsenic as inhibiting element to protect the alloy against stress corrosion. It is commonly known as Admiralty Metal. It has a good combination of strength and ductility and good resistance to corrosion. It is used widely for condenser, evaporator and heat-exchanger tubes and associated applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-497. Producer or source: Mueller Brass Company.
