Consil 900 is internally oxidized 90 silver-10 cadmium oxide in which the cadmium oxide particles are extremely small and uniformly dispersed for long electrical-contact life. It often replaces fine silver and conventional silver alloys if the electrical-contact requirements call for higher current-carrying capacity, greater resistance to sticking or welding, and/or a lower temperature rise during use. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming and heat treating. Filing Code: Ag-8. Producer or source: Handy & Harman. Originally published June 1975, revised February 1980.

CONSIL 901 is the most commonly used of the silver-copper electrical contact alloys. It has higher hardness and better resistance to wear than fine silver. It is used widely for light and medium-duty applications involving electrical-contact devices. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, forming, heat treating, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Ag-9. Producer or source: Handy & Harman.

... manufacruring tolerances as is the case with more ductile materials. Tensile tests at cemperarures up LO 900 F show a decrease in ducriliry and tensile strength. The decrease in ducriliry is more pronounced for thicker gauges of Consil 775. While the room temperature ducriliry of Prehardened Consil 775...

CONSIL 995 is an air-hardenable silver-base alloy having high strength and high electrical conductivity. It does not soften as a result of being heated as in brazing. It is recommended for electrical contacts, cable connectors, spring clips, etc. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: Ag-4. Producer or source: Handy & Harman.
