Abstract
Colmonoy 730 is a tough Ni-Cr-W matrix alloy that holds extremely hard tungsten-carbide particles with a finer mesh tungsten carbide than Colmonoy 750 (Alloy Digest Ni-546, October 1998). The alloy is used on pump plungers and sleeves for protection from fine-particulate abrasive conditions. Colmonoy 730 minimizes packing wear. The alloy is finished by grinding. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, and hardness. It also includes information on machining, joining, and powder metal forms. Filing Code: Ni-547.
