ANACONDA Alloy 706 (also known as Cupro Nickel, 10% 706) is a wrought 90% copper-10% nickel alloy developed to provide a material less costly than the copper-nickel alloys containing 20 or 30% nickel, but yet offering much of their excellent reliability. This was achieved by adding 1.25% iron to Alloy 706 to increase its resistance to corrosion by salt water. Alloy 706 is recommended where good mechanical properties, weldability and corrosion resistance are needed. It is widely used for plates, tubing and piping that must resist seawater. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-391. Producer or source: Anaconda American Brass Company.

CDA ALLOY 725 (Now known as CDA ALLOY C72500) is a copper-nickel-tin alloy designed to improve the reliability of electrical connectors by resisting oxidation and thus providing improved solderability. It has a pleasant silver color and excellent joinability by soldering, brazing and spot and butt resistance welding. Its uses include electrical connectors, relay and switch springs, and builders' hardware. The revision is being made to correct an error in composition and for general updating. The original name (CDA ALLOY 725) is being retained because of the correction in composition. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-229. Producer or source: Copper and copper alloy mills. Copper Alloy No. C72800 is a copper-nickel-tin spinodal alloy designed for high strength and excellent resistance to corrosion by salt water. It can be fabricated by the commonly-used processes. Among its many uses are springs, electrical contracts and relay elements, especially in marine environments and other places where resistance to salt water is required. This revision is being made to correct the section on Heat Treatment (specifically aging) and to expand the section on Corrosion Resistance. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-503. Producer or source: Copper and copper alloy mills.
