Crucible CSM 420XL is a premium quality, double melted for microstructural uniformity, stainless steel used in the molding of all plastics, particularly those of vinyl-base and corrosive. It is an improvement over CSM 420 (see Alloy Digest SS-314, July 1975). This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and elasticity. It also includes information on corrosion and wear resistance as well as heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-894. Producer or source: Crucible Service Centers.
