CROMO-N tool steel is a low-carbon, high-chromium grade, specially developed to provide optimum resistance to heat-checking during service at elevated temperatures. It is recommended for aluminum die casting dies, extrusion press tooling, aluminum and copper forging dies, and mandrels for extruding all nonferrous materials. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: TS-142. Producer or source: Bethlehem Steel Corporation.

Cromo-High V is a 5% chromium-molydbenum-vanadium tool steel that is used widely in the die-casting industry. It has high red-hardness with good resistance to abrasion and heat checking. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: TS-254. Producer or source: Bethlehem Steel Corporation.
