CMSX-4 ALLOY is a good second generation single crystal superalloy containing 3% Re. It has been extensively developed to maximize overall properties, through collaborative programs with several turbine engine companies, involving over one hundred 400 lb. (182 kg) and several 8000 lb. (3630 kg) production size heats. The alloy’s aim chemistry and heat treatment (including the HIP option) have been developed to optimize microstructure and effect low levels of residual microsegregation. This datasheet provides information on composition, and physical properties as well as creep and fatigue. It also includes information on heat treating. Filing Code: Ni-447. Producer or source: Cannon-Muskegon Corporation.

CMSX-11B is a non-rhenium containing single-crystal (SX) superalloy defined primarily for industrial turbine applications. The material develops a unique and extremely good blend of hot corrosion and oxidation resistance. It exhibits extremely good castability, employs relatively simple solution heat treatments, and provides creep strength that is as good or better than other first generation SX materials such as CMSX-2 (Alloy Digest Ni-417, November 1992), CMSX-3 (Alloy Digest Ni-420, January 1993), CMSX-4 (Alloy Digest Ni-447, March 1994), CMSX-6 (Alloy Digest Ni-418, December 1992), PWA 1480, and Rene N4. This datasheet provides information on composition and physical properties as well as creep. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting and heat treating. Filing Code: Ni-537. Producer or source: Cannon-Muskegon Corporation.

... temperature to -1050 C (1922 F) is similar to that of CMSX-4 and other nickel-base single-crystal superalloys. Gen- erally, the tensile strength of the ahoy peaks at -760 C (1400 OF), and an average elongation of -13% prevails. The high Re content of the alloy does not significantly influence tensile yield...

The CMSX-10 superalloy is a proprietary, third-generation, single-crystal (SX) casting material. It is characterized by a 6 wt.% Re content, a relatively high refractory element level (W+Ta+Re+Mo), and a low chromium level. CMSX-10 is a production status material that has been actively evaluated for gas turbine engine applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness, creep, and fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming and heat treating. Filing Code: Ni-533. Producer or source: Cannon-Muskegon Corporation.
