CARPENTER 20Mo-6 is an austenitic stainless steel which is resistant to corrosion in hot chloride environments with low pH. It has good resistance to pitting and stress-corrosion cracking in chloride environments and is also resistant to oxidizing media. Its good resistance to corrosion has been demonstrated in both laboratory and field tests. These tests indicate that potential applications for Carpenter 20Mo-6 include environments where HASTELLOY Alloy G (Cabot Corporation) is acceptable. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-444. Producer or source: Carpenter.
