CARPENTER GREEK ASCOLOY is a quench-hardenable chromium-nickel-tungsten stainless steel designed for temperatures up to 1200 F (649 C) in highly stressed parts. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-70. Producer or source: Carpenter. Originally published as Carpenter AMS 5616, February 1958, revised August 1988.
