BUNTING Alloy 905 is a cast bronze bearing alloy. It is a copper-tin-zinc alloy known also as Gunmetal and 88-10-0-2 alloy. It has a good combination of corrosion resistance and strength. It is recommended for castings that are to be used under liquid or gas pressures. Its many uses include bearings, fittings and valves. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-358. Producer or source: NL Industries Inc., Bearing Division.
