Atlas 5052 is a wrought, non-heat-treatable, Al-2.5Mg-0.25Cr alloy (5xxx series) that offers an attractive combination of moderate strength, good formability and weldability, and excellent corrosion resistance particularly in marine atmospheres. It is also very easy to anodize, providing a pleasant matte finish. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, tensile properties, and bend strength. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-470. Producer or source: Atlas Steels.

Atlas 5251 is a wrought, non-heat-treatable, aluminum-magnesium alloy (5xxx series). Alloy 5251, registered in 1972, is essentially the same as the old N4 alloy and is produced primarily in Europe for a variety of common alloy applications. It offers properties similar to those of alloy 5052 for the same temper. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-484. Producer or source: Atlas Steels.

Alloy Digest (2021) 70 (11): Al-482.
Published: 01 November 2021
..., Atlas 5005 does not have the usual dark coloration and is well 0.10 0.10 suited for anodizing applications. It exhibits less tendency toward structural streaking and is clearer and lighter in color 0.25 0.25 than either 3003 or 5052 aluminum alloys after anodiz- ing. Information on anodizing sourced...

Atlas 5005 is a non-heat-treatable, aluminum-magnesium alloy. This alloy has been widely adopted for anodized architectural panels. With correct rolling practices and composition controls, Atlas 5005 architectural sheet provides exceptionally high-quality surfaces after anodizing. The architectural products produced from this alloy are used on many high-end building projects to meet customer specifications for uniformity and color match. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-482. Producer or source: Atlas Steels.
