ALLOY A750 is an aluminum bearing alloy similar in composition to 750 alloy except for an addition of silicon. This composition provides better casting characteristics than 750 alloy, and A750 has been used extensively in the -T5 temper for large rolling mill bearings where its high order of anti-scuffing properties, low friction and high wear resistance under conditions of boundary and thin-film lubrication make it particularly suitable. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, tensile properties, and compressive and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as machining. Filing Code: Al-53. Producer or source: Aluminum Company of America.

ALLOY B750 contains higher concentrations of copper and nickel than either 750 or A750 alloy and this, together with an addition of magnesium, makes the alloy suitable for bearing applications requiring operation at higher temperatures and improved resistance to thermal stresses. This alloy is used for the production of casting by the permanent mold process and is normally supplied in the -T5 temper. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as machining. Filing Code: Al-88. Producer or source: Aluminum Company of America.

BELMONT ALLOY 18910 is a general-purpose aluminum casting alloy containing 2.5% silicon which contributes to good casting characteristics for intricate shapes. Sand and permanent-mold castings comprise its main use. It is used widely for bearings and components of intricate shape. Because of its anti-scuffing properties, low friction and high resistance to wear under conditions of boundary and thin-film lubrication, it is used extensively for large rolling mill bearings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: Al-229. Producer or source: Belmont Metals Inc..
