Allegheny Ludlum 304 and 304L are corrosion resistant type 18-8 stainless steels. Type 304L is the low carbon grade of Type 304 offering decreased carbide precipitation. The MINIMISER form is an improved machinability version, mostly by a change in the sulfur composition, but still maintaining the dual certification capability of the base Type 304/304L grades. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and elasticity. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: SS-805. Producer or source: Allegheny Ludlum Corporation.
