Abstract
The 7xxx series alloys contain zinc as the main alloying element, usually in combination with magnesium and copper. Alcoa’s high-strength 7055 alloy is supplied as plate and extrusions and used for compressive strength applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness.
