Type CG6MMN is a 22Cr-12.5Ni-5Mn-2.25Mo alloy that is the cast equivalent of Nitronic 50 (see Alloy Digest SS-304, revised April 1990). The alloy is used as castings for pump and valve bodies to resist a wide variety of environments that corrode type 316 (CF8M). This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting and heat treating. Filing Code: SS-724. Producer or source: Various stainless steel casting companies. Originally published July 1998, corrected November 1998.
