1033 and S33C are wrought medium-carbon non-alloy steels that are used in the normalized, cold worked, or quenched and tempered condition. 1033 and S33C may also be flame or induction hardened. These steels are widely used for small, moderately stressed parts that require higher strength levels than can be achieved by the lower carbon grades, and also for applications where a combination of moderate strength and good toughness is required. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: CS-236. Producer or source: Data Survey.

DOWMETAL EZ33A is a magnesium-rare earth metal-zinc-zirconium alloy having good high temperature creep resistance up to about 500 F, and is recommended for applications at elevated temperatures. Its freedom from microporosity makes it a suitable casting alloy for producing very special complicated parts which might not be made pressure tight in an alloy such as Dowmetal C. It is used in the artificially aged condition (T5). This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Mg-21. Producer or source: The Dow Chemical Company.

CARPENTER STAINLESS TYPE 414 is a hardenable (martensitic), nickel-bearing chromium steel. It resists corrosion from the atmosphere, fresh water, mine water, crude oil, blood, alcohol, mercury and many other reagents; however, it is rarely considered for high-temperature service because scale formation starts when 1200 F (649 C) is exceeded. Type 414 is used for many heat-treated parts such as high-strength bolts and nuts. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-438. Producer or source: Carpenter.
