1023 and S22C are wrought low-carbon non-alloy steels (C = 0.20–0.25%, Mn = 0.30–0.60%) that are used in the as rolled, normalized, or cold worked condition. These steels are widely used for lightly and moderately stressed parts that require higher strength levels than can be achieved by the lower carbon grades, and also for applications where a combination of low-to-medium strength, good cold formability, and good weldability are required. They may also be used in the carburized or carbonitrided, and subsequently quench hardened and tempered, condition for parts requiring a hard, wear-resistant surface, but with little need for increased mechanical properties in the core. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: CS-235. Producer or source: Data Survey.

SAE 1023 is a carbon steel of relatively low manganese content (0.30-0.60%); therefore, its hardenability, hardness and strength are somewhat lower than that of steels of higher manganese content at comparable carbon levels. It has good machinability, good workability (hot or cold) and good weldability. It is used in the annealed, hot worked, normalized or water-quenched-and-tempered condition for many automotive and general industry applications. It may be used in the carburized condition or without carburizing. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: CS-78. Producer or source: Carbon steel mills.

Zapp TiAl6V4 is an alpha-beta titanium alloy that is used in the annealed or solution heat treated and aged condition for applications requiring high strength, relatively low weight, and excellent corrosion resistance. It is typically used in the low to moderate temperature range (up to about 400 °C, or 750 °F). Ti-6Al-4V is the most widely used titanium alloy, accounting for more than 50% of the total titanium used. The aerospace industry accounts for more than 80% of this usage. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ti-173. Producer or source: Zapp AG.
