for article titled, No. 484 TOOL STEEL: Air Hardening Tool Steel, Type A2
No. 484 tool steel is an air hardening tool steel capable of through hardening in heavy sections. Isothermal transformation of material austenitized at 1750 starts after about 400 seconds at 1300 F and after about 1000 seconds at 600 F. The calculated Ms temperature is 325 F. The steel has a good hardness/toughness balance. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on wear resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: TS-501. Producer or source: Carpenter.

for article titled, CARPENTER STAINLESS 20Cb-3: Acid Resistant Steel
Carpenter Stainless 20Cb-3 is an austenitic stainless steel designed for improved resistance to sulfuric acid. It finds wide use in all phases of the chemical industry. It has good mechanical properties and comparative ease of fabrication. Columbium stabilizes the alloy to minimize carbide precipitation during welding. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-182. Producer or source: Carpenter.

for article titled, EMPIRE CF-3M: Stainless Steel Casting Alloy
EMPIRE CF-3M is a superior stainless steel casting alloy recommended for welded fabrications because of freedom from carbide precipitation. It is equivalent to A. C. I. CF-4M (American Casting Institute designation). This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-61. Producer or source: Stainless steel foundries.
