SIMONDS M-2 is a general-purpose high-speed steel with excellent resistance to abrasion and shock. It is a molybdenum-tungsten type of high-speed steel and is not particularly susceptible to decarburization. Its many applications include lathe tools, gear cutters, thread chasers and circular saws. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity.
