AISI Type H10 is a hot-work tool steel of the chromium type, although it contains a substantial amount of molybdenum. It is a high-hardenability steel and possesses a combination of high tensile strength and hardness with excellent toughness. Typical hot work applications include forging dies, extrusion dies, hot header dies, mandrels, punches and piercing tools. Consult the manufacturer for specific recommendations. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: TS-442. Producer or source: Tool steel mills.
