Meehanite SFP500 is a ductile iron that has a minimum tensile strength of 500 MPa (73 ksi) and a minimum elongation of 8%, when measured on test pieces machined from separately cast samples. This Meehanite grade possesses a mixed matrix of ferrite and pearlite, with the ferrite predominating. It offers a compromise between the relatively soft, low tensile, high ductility ferritic types and the harder, higher tensile, lower ductility pearlitic grades. Meehanite SFP500 is a good all-round material providing a degree of toughness coupled with a higher tensile strength in the as-cast condition. This datasheet provides information on physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on casting and heat treating. Filing Code: CI-108. Producer or source: Meehanite Metal Corporation.

This Meehanite grade possesses a predominantly ferritic matrix giving the material a good level of ductility. It is used where a degree of shock resistance at ambient temperatures is important. Meehanite SF450.15 is of particular interest to design engineers wishing to replace fabrications or non-alloy steel castings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on casting and heat treating. Filing Code: CI-107. Producer or source: Meehanite Metal Corporation.

Meehanite GB300 is a pearlitic gray cast iron that has a minimum tensile strength of 300 MPa (44 ksi), when determined on test pieces machined from separately cast, 30 mm (1.2 in.) diameter test bars. This grade exhibits high strength while still maintaining good thermal conductivity and good machinability. It is generally used for applications where the thermal conductivity requirements preclude the use of other higher-strength materials, such as spheroidal graphite cast irons, which have inferior thermal properties. This datasheet provides information on physical properties, hardness, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on low and high temperature performance as well as heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: CI-75. Producer or source: Meehanite Metal Corporation.
