USS BEN-WELD is an alloy steel that fills the designer's need for large-diameter, ductile reinforcing bars with specified minimum mechanical properties. Compared to many other steels for reinforcing bars, USS BEN-WELD provides simplified, lower cost welding and more compact designs through more acute bending. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SA-295. Producer or source: United States Steel Corporation.
