ULTEM 4001 is an unreinforced polyetherimide resin with an internal lubricant. It is wear resistant and it has a reduced coefficient of friction. See also ULTEM 4000 (Alloy Digest CP-21, March 1992) for reinforced resin properties. ULTEM 4001 is available in opaque colors only. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness. ULTEM 6000 is an unreinforced, high-temperature polyeytherimide copolymer resin. It is an amorphous thermoplastic but unlike some high-temperature polymers, it does not crosslink during processing. It does not require post curing. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, tensile properties, and compressive and shear strength as well as fracture toughness.
