for article titled, ELKONITE 2110, 2150: Tungsten-Silver Compositions
ELKONITE 2110, 2150 tungsten-silver alloys are made by the press-sinter-repress method for attachment to backings by silver brazing. Tungsten has the highest strength and the highest melting temperature of the refractory metals. This is the principal factor in determining the resistance of a contact to arc erosion and mechanical wear. The strength, erosion, and weld resistance characteristics of the contact increase with increasing tungsten content; the electrical and thermal characteristics decrease. This datasheet provides information on composition and physical properties. Filing Code: W-24. Producer or source: CMW Inc.

ELKONITE G13, G14, 1060, 3042 and 3150 tungsten carbide-silver alloys have good erosion resistance and low contact resistance. The major characteristics are superior resistance to contact welding or sticking and excellent corrosion resistance. Tungsten carbide is a hard, chemically inert material and has a lower rate of oxidation than tungsten, The tungsten carbide-silver Elkonites are resistant to corrosion in high-humidity atmospheres and are superior to the other Elkonite materials in that respect. They vary in composition from 33 to 60 percent tungsten carbide by weight. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and hardness. Filing Code: W-23. Producer or source: CMW Inc.
