Kaiser aluminum alloy 2124 is a high-purity version of 2024 with tighter controls on the iron and silicon for an increase in strength and toughness. Rotelloy 3 has the same composition as Permandur 49 and was specifically developed for aircraft generator rotor and stator laminations. WEIRKOTE PLUS is a Galfan-coated sheet steel. The sheet is conventional low-carbon steel normally used for galvanized sheets and strip. This digest will concentrate on the characteristics and properties of the Galfan coating which is nominally a 95% zinc-5% aluminum alloy. ATMODIE is a high-carbon, high-chromium, air-hardening tool steel. It has a unique combination of hardness, toughness and non-deforming qualities.
