for article titled, UNILOY 17-4: Age-Hardenable Martensitic Stainless Steel
UNILOY 17-4 is a unique stainless steel. It can be annealed (solution treated) to produce a martensite-austenite mixture and then aged to various levels of hardness and strength. It has high mechanical properties including good strength at both sub-zero and elevated temperatures. Its corrosion resistance is excellent. Its many applications include gears, splines, shafts, valves, fasteners and couplings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-397. Producer or source: Cyclops.
