BERYLCO Alloy 42C is a modification of BERYLCO Alloy 41C (Alloy Digest Ni-251, November 1977). CRUCIBLE XM 19 Stainless is a nitrogen-strengthened, low-carbon austenitic stainless steel that provides good corrosion resistance in combination with high strength. The alloy has better corrosion resistance than AISI Type 316 with approximately twice the yield strength. It can be welded, machined and cold worked using the same equipment and methods used for the conventional AISI 300 series stainless steels. It is nonmagnetic as annealed and after severe cold work. MUELLER Alloy 3300 is a brass containing 0.5% lead for improving machinability.
