Boehler W302 VMR is a hot tool steel that is manufactured and certified to meet an average impact toughness of 20 J (15 ft·lbf) minimum in Charpy V-notch testing. This die steel achieves that toughness by vacuum melting and remelting. Applications include dies, die holders, liners, and stems.
