Alfenol is an unoriented 12% to 16% aluminum-iron alloy which has high electrical resistivity and low eddy current losses. It is furnished in the 12% aluminum and in the 16% aluminum grades. The recommended uses are for relays, gyro mechanisms, servo-mechanisms and toroid tape cores. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on heat treating. Filing Code: Fe-38. Producer or source: Carpenter.
