Carpenter Project 70 Stainless Custom 630 is a modified version of type 630 stainless steel with improved machinability when compared to conventional type 630. The alloy is a martensitic precipitation, age-hardening stainless steel offering high strength and hardness along with excellent corrosion resistance. It has good fabricating characteristics and can be age hardened by a single-step, low-temperature treatment. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming and heat treating. Filing Code: SS-732. Producer or source: Carpenter Specialty Alloys.
