Abstract

CDA ALLOY 544 is a leaded phosphor bronze with good resistance to corrosion and good machinability. It has strength equivalent to mild steel, good bearing and friction characteristics, good electrical conductivity, and is nonmagnetic. It is used for bearings, cams, gears, valves, meter and camera parts, screw machine products, and electrical parts. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-223. Producer or source: Anaconda American Brass Company.
