Abstract

UNS No. Z35635 is a zinc-aluminum-copper-magnesium foundry alloy recommended for castings of moderate strength and low cost. It was designed for use in nonferrous permanent-mold foundries to compete with cast-iron, aluminum and bronze castings. The alloy can be sand cast and die cast. Its many uses include hardware, valves, implement components and equipment for liquid fuel transfer because it is non-sparking. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion and wear resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Zn-42. Producer or source: Zinc alloy producers.
