Abstract

Allegheny Metal 355 is a chromium-nickel-molybdenum stainless steel to bridge the gap between the 300 and 400 series. It can be precipitation hardened by heat treatment. It is best suited for heavy sections. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-112.
