Abstract

MISCO METAL is an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy steel having high corrosion and heat resistance. It is the 37 Ni-17Cr type stainless steel. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-13. Producer or source: Michigan Steel Casting Company, Alloy Casting Division. Originally published March 1954, revised January 1965.
